Touchstone Gold

This golden beet produces tall greens which are sweet and nutritious. The roots are smooth with a yellow centre and red skinned exterior. Matures in 53 days. The colour makes this beet a fun candidate for pickling!
  • Leaves are dark green with deep, yellow/orange roots
  • Does well in either full sun or part shade
  • Cool weather crop can direct sow between late April to mid-July (depending on your growing region).
  • Germination occurs in 5-12 days with optimal soil temperatures 10-26°C
  • Sow 1cm (1/2”) deep, 5-10cm (2-4″) apart in rows 30-45cm (12-18″) apart. Thin carefully to 7-15cm (3-6″) when seedlings are 5cm (2") tall.
