Buttercrunch is a fantastic addition to sandwiches but also makes great lettuce wraps. Does not become bitter in hot weather and is a great candidate for container gardening.
Cool weather crop. Hot weather will cause the plant to go to seed rapidly.
Successive sowing will ensure lettuce is available all summer
Optimal soil temperatures for germination between 10-22°C
Plant in full sun, sow no more than 5mm-1cm (1/4-1/2") deep
