This heirloom basil variety is native to southeast Asia. Once established it is a vigorous grower in hot weather or a greenhouse. Pick young shoots regularly to extend the harvest as once it goes to seed the plant stops producing the leaves
Grows well at any time of year (indoors) provided it is supplied enough light.
Optimal soil temperatures for germination between 21-30°C
Plant in full sun, sow no more than 1cm (1/2") deep
