Black Spanish Round

This hardy heirloom has a black skin with a tender white interior with a peppery kick. Sometimes referred to as Noir Gros Rond d'Hiver. It's a large turnip-shaped globe 8-10cm (3-4"). The tops grow tall and this is a great variety for winter storage (in wet sand). Save the other radishes for fresh summertime eating.

• Direct sow in mid-late summer with spacing 8-10cm (3-4") apart
• Matures in 60 days
• Prefers full sun
• Optimal soil temperature for germination is 18-24°C. Sow 5mm (1/4") deep
• Seeds will sprout in 5-7
